This large claw set emerald cut aquamarine weighing approx 40ct was inspired by the fjords of the Northern hemisphere and the ice mass that slowly creeps across the landscape. The massive natural sculptural forms and subtle interplay of softly glowing colours of the ice showing its thickness and density are a very powerful and inspired this design. A powerful and playful polar bear can be seen climbing up one corner exploring the landscape.
The surrounding claw set stones fade into darker hues and are round brilliant cut white diamonds, grey diamonds, aquamarines and blue sapphires on the underside of the shank. In total there are 807 smaller stones painstaking set into this design. On the underside of the finger aperture there is a detailed filigree gallery of snowflake shapes cut through the metal.
